"Cowboy" was a long time neighbor (from childhood) who lived up the hill.   I remember him as a "protector".  Before he acquired the nickname Cowboy, he was known as "Pumkin"!  Rest in peace.

Cowboy and I were heart mates, we each carried a little of each other's heart throughout the years. I remember him walking into Hosea Brown's class a day before the end of school 1974 and we've been friends every since. I will surely miss his humor, love of music and anything on wheels.  RIP Punkin!!!

Cowboy, Pumkin, or jonny on the spot, you were known throughout the  city as one of the best mechanics in town. You helped me an countless others when we were in need. But you were also a big brother figure to me and alot of others on Oglethorepe st growing up and I just want to say thank you for all the things you taught us and all the fun and laughs you provided us with. You will be truelly missed and will never be forgotten, Rest In Peace homeboy.
