She was preceded in death by her brother, Conard P. Edwards, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held in Chicago, IL at a later date.

WE ALL REMEMBER KAREN AS THE SMARTEST PERSON WE KNEW.  HER NAME CAME UP DURING A GET TOGETHER OF A FEW OF US THAT WENT TO COOLIDGE WITH HER.

Karen was one of the nicest, smartest in our class.  She was a kind person.  I lost touch with many of my classmates after graduating, and did not realize she lived in Chicago, my home town.  Deepest condolences to her family; she will live on and be remembered fondly by many of us.

Karen clearly was one of the smartest members of the Class of 1965, if not the smartest.  She joined Junior Neighbors, Inc. which I was helping to start, and I remember on the day that President Kennedy was shot walking up Blair Road to a gathering at her house.  I lost touch with her after we graduated, something I really regreted, but gather that she was in academic life in Chicago.  I see by the obituary that she left a son and two grandsons.  Of course, her sister Donna was a wonderful person as well.  Karen Edwards was a remarkable person.
