Coach Farello was the Calvin Coolidge Assistant Basketball Coach under the late Coach Frank R. Williams for many years until Coach William’s passing, at which time he became the Head Basketball Coach and served in that capacity for a number of years.  He also served for many years as Coolidge's Head Baseball Coach.  Coach Farello was scheduled to receive this year’s Calvin Coolidge Alumni Association Inc's Founders Award. He will be honored posthumously at this year's CCAA, Inc. 25th Silver Anniversary Scholarship / Benefit Awards Breakfast on Saturday October 8, 2011.

Coach:From one of your most grateful  Starting 2nd baseman (1971 and 72)  and basketball player, I would like to say that during my time at Coolidge High, in particular my first years, you more so than others, had a resounding impact on my life as a player, a student ,but above all a human being, rest in peace  with much admiration thank you for a job well done!!

Coach Farello was a great coach, mentor, and human being.  As the Co-Chairman of the Class of 1979's 25th Reunion I was privileged as were my classmates to pay special tribute to Coach Farello as our guest of honor.  He was very appreciative of our gesture, but for me it was a chance to reach back to a special man that made a difference to myself and my classmates so many years ago.  He is at rest now in the Lord's hands, but his spirit and memory will live on in us.  Be at peace, Coach.  We love you.
