Departed this life on February 20, 2011. Beloved mother of Jason DeBose and Aaron Fitz; loving daughter of Julia M. DeBose and the late Abraham DeBose, Sr. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Blake, Madison and Amiyas; four sisters, Deborah, Barbara, Monica and Cornelia; four brothers, Abraham, Julius, Michael and Daryl; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation, Saturday, February 26 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service, 11 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1611 Brentwood Rd., N.E., Washington, DC.
She was our "Pixie" and like her nicknamed sake she brought cheerfulness, optimism, confidence, and hope not only to our school mates, she brought it to the neighborhood community at large. I cannot recall seeing "Pixie" without a smile on her face.
