Sylvia Weathers
2010-08-21Passed away peacefully on August 21, 2010. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 44 years, Frank Weathers, Jr. , a son, Frank Nathan Weathers, a daughter, Alexis R. Weathers of Silver Spring, MD; her mother, Gertrude H. Frazier, 2 sisters, Veronica Frazier (Houston) and Vicey Frazier, 4 brothers, Watty, Prince, Ronald and Reginald Frazier and host of other relatives and friends. On Thursday, August 26, friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at McGuire Funeral Home, 7400 Georgia Avenue, NW, and on Friday, August 27 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 4950 Blagden Avenue, NW. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Calvin Coolidge Alumni Association, Inc., 6315 5th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20011.
Oh wow! I didn't know she had passed. Mrs. Weathers was my typing teacher! She was really great! She will truly be missed by me.

tribute by Brenda GordonThis is so sad. I thought I saw her recently. She was an "icon" at Coolidge and in the community. She always was nice and had a wonderful spirit about her. We just don't know the day or hour. May God bless her family and friends and give them the strength to get through these difficulty times.
