Born in Washington, DC, August 6, 1925, Edward was the son of Harry Waters of Philadelphia, PA and Irene Gaherty Waters of Wallingford, CT. He graduated early from Coolidge High School in 1943 to enlist in the Army Air Corps. While stationed at Selman Field in Monroe, LA he met the love of his life, Lorraine Atwell.
