Monique is the daughter of Mae Francis Sims Childs and the late Robert R. Childs, Jr.; sister of Marlena A. Childs, Myra N. Childs and step-brother, Robert J. Dyson. She also leaves one niece, Makaia A. Childs and one nephew, Aric H. Childs. During her career, she was employed at the following organizations, NIH, CIA, Borders Books and American University.
