Carl Tillman, class of '67

Carl Tillman, class of '67

2010-12-18
Please be advised of the passing of our classmate, Carl Tillman, on Saturday, December 18, 2010.   To be "absent from the body" is to be "present with the Lord" (2 Cor. 5:8).  We believe and abide in the peace of knowing and trusting in God's assurance that... Death is not so much an exit out of this life as it is an entry into the Lord's presence in a very personal sense.

Carl will truly be missed by me.  He was one of my play uncles, because my dad (Ronald Haynes, Class of '67) didn't have any brothers and he was like a brother to my dad.  Carl always was around my whole life until he had gotten sick.  I will always remember the good days of you coming to the house and hanging out with dad.

Carl was truly a great person. I can never ever remember Carl being out of sorts.  He always had a smile. He was a great Cadet Officer. Grady

As I looked through my 1967 year book I can only re-live the good times and fond memories that were formed during our stay at Calvin Coolidge High School.  Carl Tillman was and shall forever be a big part of those days. I am honored that he took time to sign my year book.  As I was looking at his signature I felt comfortable in knowing that his name is written down in the Lambs Book of Life in Eternity. So long for now Carl, until we meet again.
