John Taylor Williams Was born August 31, 1957 in Washington, to Russell and Cherry Williams, affectionally called “Skunk” by his parent, he could do untold damage and be gone in a flash.

At Lamond playground, Johnny honed his basketball skills well enough to play for Calvin Coolidge High School and was good enough to earn several college scholarships. He eventually enrolled in Hampton University, from which he graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Preceded in death by his parents, John leaves to cherish his memory: three sisters, Deborah W. Hairston (Rodney), Sheila V. Williams, and Brenda W. Gibson, a brother, Russell (Roselyn), two aunts, nephews, and nieces, and a host of cousins and faithful friends.

I am at total  awe. My condlence to his family. His family lived down the street from us and he played with my brothers. His mother was my girl scout leader. He as with his parents will be missed.

What a cheerful man. We grew up in the same neighborhood. Played on the same courts & fields. Went to the same schools & parties. Wow. This news has stoped & silenced me. Truly rest in peace. Heart felt sympathy and best wishes to the family.God bless you.Anthony Ferrell
